What amp should I get ?

I play METAL... and want a THRASH METAL sound in particular... but anyway... I have around 400+ pounds to spend and i wonder whether to go for an MG4 head and an MG4 or MA 4x12" cabinet... or maybe get an over 400 quid worth a valve combo amp and hope i'll be loud enough? haha no idea, please help.
