Has Political Correctness become a religion?

It has a strong sect in many countries. It's a belief system many have subscribed to. There's a God and he lives within everyone who can be easily offended. His antithesis is anything that can potentially affront ethnical minorities. Individuals without standard looks may also fall in this category. So has it finally become a religion or is there still something?
